Choco Cherry Cookies

Try these low fat, divinely delish, moist, chewy Chocolate Cherry Cookies for your Sunday picnic. Yum! They are vegan!

Ingredients

  1. 1/3 cup butter you can substitute it with vegan butter
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup white sugar
  4. 1/2 cup yoghurt
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  2. 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 2 cups oats
  6. 1/2 cup chopped cherries
  7. 2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Add all dry ingredients (except oats) to the wet ingredients and mix well with a whisk or spoon.
  3. Fold the oats and mix well
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  5. Take ice cream scoop and scoop each cookie, flatten with a fork and top with cherries
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 mins

I used vegan (soy) yogurt. Apologize for not specifically mentioning it.

They are not vegan because you have used yogurt.

These cookies are the perfect low fat snack with healthy oatmeal as an ingredient. They look delicious and are simple to prepare. I will surely serve these to my guests.
