Spiced just right, this simple eggfree recipe will light up the tast buds.
1can evaporated milk
1can condensed milk
1can strawberry pie filling
Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon powder and all spices) together in bowl using a wooden spoon.
Add the soft butter, evaporated milk, condensed milk and vanilla in the dry mixture and using a hand beater/mixture mix all the ingredients together for 3 minutes or until the batter is nice and thick (tip: instead of hand beater you can use wooden spoon to mix the ingredients as well. Just ensure that all the ingredients in the bottom mixed well as well).
In a different bowl, pour the strawberry pie filling and 1 or 1½ cup of the cake mixture. And using a spatula mix the both items without squashing the strawberries.
Preheat the oven in 325°F (163°C). In a 9x13 inch glass pan, brush the bottom and the sides with the butter and sprinkle some flour.
Pour the strawberry mixture to the glass pan and spread the mixture evenly using a spatula.
Pour the cake mixture on top of the strawberry mixture and spread it evenly using a spatula.
Bake the cake for about 45-50 minutes in the oven.
Once baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the cake to cool down for about 10-15mintues before you turn the cake on a different tray/ board.
