Keeping your mind calm

Dear friends,

Om shanti.  Some of you have asked about how to be calm in spite of feeling the pressure of time.  It’s very beneficial to be in a state of 

calm, and it’s possible to develop the practice of keeping your mind calm.  Go inside yourself with the clear thought that you want to remain 

calm.  Don’t allow yourself to think about the past, and don’t worry about the future.  Don’t keep repeating things of the past in your mind, 

and don’t keep wishing for things in the future.  Learn to bring a full stop to these thoughts when they come.  Don’t have false hopes for the 

future, but keep determination about making your future benevolent. Patience is very valuable – patience with yourself, patience with others 

and patience with time.
