Mini Baklavas Recipe

A delightful twist on the traditional Baklava. Bite size mini baklavas are a quick and easy way to welcome guests.

For Syrup

  1. 1 cup honey
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 2 cinnamon sticks
  5. 1 teaspoon orange peel
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 12 whole cloves

For Nut mixture

  1. 2 ½ cups chopped walnuts or almonds or pastichio nuts
  2. 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  3. 1 teaspoon all spice
  4. Shop bought mini filo shells


  1. Mix all these ingredients
  2. Strain the syrup
  3. Add one cup of the syrup and mix together (make sure the mixture isn’t too dry)
  4. Take your mini filo shells and add a spoon in each shell
  5. Bake it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes just to make sure the shell is crispy
