During the week of Interfaith Harmony, sister Ana López represented the Brahma Kumaris participated in a very solemn act organized by FPU (Federation for the Universal Peace), together with representatives of different religions.

The main theme was “How do religions contribute in a practical way to peace in the world?” Each representative shared their views as a contribution to world peace.

A symbolic and significant act was performed by pouring water in a bowl, representing the union of religions in the world.

World Interfaith Harmony Week was established by the United Nations in Resolution A/RES/65/5, adopted on October 20, 2010. This agreement affirms that understanding and dialogue between religions are important dimensions of the culture of peace.
